With year 2024 coming to an end, the BWF World Tour Finals will bring the curtains down on the badminton season this calendar season with the tournament set to kick-start from December 15, in Hangzhou, China and includes world's top 40 players and pairs coming under one roof.
The event will be a four-day event, starting with the group stages on December 11-13. December 14 will see the semis with the finals taking place on December 15.
The tournament will feature men's and women's singles and men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles events. However, two-time Olympic medallist Viktor Axelsen won't feature due to injury.
India will be represented by Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand after having earned a spot in the women's doubles event. The Indian pair had some of their best performances at the Singapore Open and Macau Open where they reached the semi-finals but fell short of the final.
