Action star Jackie Chan raised concern among his fans after he fainted while performing a fight scene for his upcoming film, “Panda Plan.”

In a recent behind-the-scenes video, Chan was captured getting head-locked by his co-star before he went limp and suddenly lost consciousness.

Chan’s scene partner released his grip as the crew ran over to assist the 70-year-old actor to get back up. As the staff attended to him, Chan was seen wiped of any expression and appeared to be unaware of what just happened.

After a pause, the martial arts legend asked one of the crew, “What are we doing?”

When told that he had briefly passed out, Chan, in total disbelief, said it probably happened as he was holding his breath while they were doing the stunt.

The “Karate Kid” actor insisted he was fine and proceeded to film the scene again after a short break.

In an interview after the incident, Chan underscored that he has to assure the production staff that he was okay so they wouldn’t require him to have a stunt double.

“It’s not a big deal. I need to assure everyone else [that I’m fine]; otherwise, they would want me to use a stunt double. If I just sit there while they use a stunt double and they just film my close-ups after he’s done, I would feel very guilty!” he explained.

Fans expressed their worry for the kung fu star as they stated that it’s probably the “right time” for Chan to stop doing his own stunts.

“At 70 years old already, he should not do any more dangerous stunts and let those younger stuntmen do the job. We know he wanted to do his best to produce a good movie by doing the stunt by himself as what he had done during his younger days but when age catch up with him, he must learn to let go and let others do it,” said one netizen.

In April, Chan reflected on his 70th birthday as he looked back on his noteworthy career in the entertainment industry, saying “being able to grow old is a fortunate thing.”
